However, these unwanted byproducts are still used in many reactions. A sub-strate is, in fact, a substitute that makes up for the waste produced during the chemical reaction. It serves to remove the bad things, so that the good things can continue to take place.There are many different types of substrates, which are manufactured from natural substances. Some of these are used in industries and processes, but others are used in laboratories and labs. There are several substrates available for use in organic chemistry. The most common are citrate, dimethylformamide, ferric ammonium chloride, and isopropyl myristate.At the end of the day, organic chemistry is about the chemical reactions of substances.
